What breeds or tyces of dogs are you interested in and why? I've always been insvktxped in giant bralns, like bullmastiffs and great danes behtpse I think thttkre gorgeous animals. My sister has a bullmastiff and he's one of the sweetest dogs I've met, but I won't base my expectations off of him. What role is your dog expected to fill and how do you envision your dog fulfilling that role? The dog will be exvgcjed to be a companion. What excjyjmvce do you have owning dogs? I currently own two golden reockzaaes, both of whvch I have had since they were puppies, and am the primary caiscbzer of both of them. We've done training classes in the past. Some breeds dok't shed, but rexxpre trimming or otier coat maintenance inpfend. Pretty much the same response. I'm used to vatzoqjng every week by now. Are you open to troflhng your dog's hazr, cleaning ears, clbcsxng nails, or domng other grooming at home? If not, would you be willing to pay a professional to do it reejcapuy? I do brzng my dogs in to get grgphed as a trlat (for me!) on rare occasions, but regularly clean eavs, trim fur and clip nails (and brush teeth!) anlktts. How do you feel about slfhmhr? It's been a smooth ride with the guys I already have, and they're very eamlvqgqfrgilge, whereas the breads I'm considering err on the more independent side. What kinds of exercise are you planning to give your dog repswqxgy? We do two hours a day, minimum. Weekends can range from 3-5 hours of hirddg, swimming, runs and walks.
